Coarse grid resolution
Parameters h, hx, hy, hz, hxyz0
indicate the resolution of the coarsest grid.
- Only parameter hxyz0 can be set by the user. hxyz0 is the
resolution of the coarsest grid.
- If hxyz0 is not set in the parameter file, the coarse mesh
resolution will be set using parameters maxx0,maxy0,maxz0,
minx0,miny0minz0 and nx0, ny0, nz0
as follows:
- hx = ( maxx0 - minx0 ) / (nx0-1.d0)
- hy = ( maxy0 - miny0 ) / (ny0-1.d0)
- hz = ( maxz0 - minz0 ) / (nz0-1.d0)
- dt = lambda * hx
- h = hx
- hxyz0 = hx
lambda is the Courant factor.
- If hxyz0 is set by the user in the parameter file, the domain
is set as follows:
- hx = hxyz0
- hy = hxyz0
- hz = hxyz0
- dt = lambda * hx
- h = hx
- minx0 = -hxyz0*(nx0-1.d0)/2.d0
- maxx0 = -minx0
- miny0 = -hxyz0*(ny0-1.d0)/2.d0
- maxy0 = -miny0
- minz0 = -hxyz0*(nz0-1.d0)/2.d0
- maxz0 = -minz0
lambda is the Courant factor.
Notes
- The resolution parameters (h, hx, hy, hz, hxyz0) always indicate the coarse mesh resolution, regardless of the grid
number or level.
- Cases where hx ≠ hy ≠ hz are not allowed.
