bound_width
The parameter bound_width controls the number of communicated
points across interprocessor boundaries. These points are sometimes
called "ghostzones" because they are not evolved; rather, they are
communicated to provide artificial boundaries during an evolution.
Notes
- The default is: bound_width = 3.
- Do not confuse parameter bound_width with
parameter ghostwidth. Parameter ghostwidth does not control
the number of communicated points across interprocessor boundaries.
- The parameters nghostzones_x, nghostzones_y, and nghostzones_z control the number of bound_width points in different
dimensions. However, parameters nghostzones_x, nghostzones_y, and nghostzones_z are currently fixed to be the bound_width value.
Any values specified for nghostzones_x, etc. by the user
will be ignored.
